Trademarks

Always use our trademarks correctly. Even minor misuse, such as in company correspondence, can weaken our trademark rights.

List of Orion’s trademarks

Orion has registered several trademarks globally. Request details of Orion Corporation’s trademarks from trademarkdepartment@orionpharma.com.

Correct use of our trademarks

The “Orion Pharma" logo must be displayed on all packaging and other product-related materials. Follow the correct logo usage guidelines (See Logos).

Trademarks are proper adjectives. Not nouns. Not verbs. A mark should always be used as an adjective qualifying a generic noun that defines the product or service. A mark is a company brand name, not a product or service itself. As adjectives, marks should not be used as plurals or in the possessive form, unless the mark itself is plural or possessive.

A trademark must not be altered or amended in any way. A mark should not be combined with any other mark, hyphenated, abbreviated or displayed in parts. A trademark that is depicted as two or more words should not be compressed into one word.

Trademarks should be displayed in a different font or manner to distinguish them from surrounding text. In running text, for example, trademarks should be distinguished by using all capital letters or italics. In addition, the generic noun that identifies the product or service should be used immediately after the trademark name at least once in each separate written or broadcast communication, or on each website, preferably the first time that the trademark appears in the material. Extra emphasis can be added by including terms like “brand,” “product,” or “medicine” after the trademark or by using appropriate trademark symbols.

Examples:

Orion Corporation’s products
Stavevo® medicine

TM and R- symbols

In connection with Orion, Orion Pharma or Orion Pharma logo, no ® or ™ symbol should be used. Orion's product brands have different set of rules. Follow each product brands guidelines. However, as a general rule:

  • The ® symbol stands for “registered” and is used only when trademarks have been registered in the respective country where the product will be sold. Check the status from Orion's IPR Department.
  • The TM symbol is used for marks that are not registered, but we consider them to be our trademarks, including marks whose registration is pending.

Product names (product trademarks and brands) have their own rules of ® and ™ symbol usage. Follow the guidelines provided by Orion IPR Department on which symbol to be used. In case the ® or ™ symbol is used, it should be placed immediately after the trademark.
